The Security Industry Authority (SIA):
Security 2000 Ltd are approved by the SIA for the provision of security guaurding and keyholding services.
The SIA is the organisation responsible for regulating the private security industry. They are an independent body reporting to the Home Secretary. Their mission is to regulate the private security industry effectively; to reduce criminality, raise standards and recognise quality service.
The SIA has two main duties. One is the compulsory licensing of individuals undertaking designated activities within the private security industry. The other is to manage the voluntary Approved Contractor Scheme, which measures private security suppliers against independently assessed criteria.
We at Security 2000 Ltd are members of the SIA and are part of the SIA's Approved Contractor scheme. This is designed to raise performance standards and was developed in consultation with representatives from across the industry; it only covers those parts of the industry that are regulated by the SIA and the Private Security Industry Act 2001 (as amended). There is a single scheme, with sector-specific approval based on a relevant set of qualifying criteria.
Security 2000 Ltd is a proud member of the SIA and even more proud that we are part of their Approved Contractor Scheme. It shows we are committed to providing our clients with the best possible service and we are committed to providing our security officers with the best training and working practices.
With that in mind, you, as a client, can be rest assured that all our security officers are all members of the SIA. They are fully licensed, trained and regulated. Our guards are appointed following rigorous screening, police and reference checks and, once appointed, are given thorough hands-on security training in compliance with the standards set out by Security 2000 Ltd and our individual client’s specific instructions.

This ensures that, to the best of our ability, our employees and other people in contact with us, are not exposed to unnecessary risks at any given situation.
The mission of Security 2000 Ltd is to prevent crime against commercial enterprise, to help our clients keep their businesses secure, to protect multi numbers of companies on commercial Trading & Industrial Estates against the ravages of crime and vandalism.
The effect of our work is to provide peace of mind to Company Directors and Managers, cut out the losses caused by crime and vandalism and the financial and psychological aftermath.
The secondary effect of our mission is that we are able to provide on site security, on or close to the industrial areas we protect, with immediate attention to labour problems that larger companies are unable to match.
This whole ethos of our work is environmentally beneficial to all companies within the estates we protect.
At Security 2000 Ltd We like to think that we are an environmentally friendly company.
As a manned guarding company we do not manufacture anything nor do we use anything that is environmentally undesirable, other than vehicle fuel. We have looked into the possibility of using electric/gas fuelled vehicles and have concluded that this is not a viable option at this stage.
However, our work in industrial estate protection is an advantage to the environment in that valuable resources are not wasted or used up in repairing and replacing damaged building or stolen equipment.
A lot of the estates we protect show an increased pride in their surroundings as the occupants see that vandalism is virtually non-existent and it is worth caring for their buildings, fences and surroundings.
Wherever possible we will recycle all paper we are mindful of electricity wastage and ensure that power supplies and lighting are not used unnecessarily or left on when or premises are empty.
Our expended batteries and cartridges will be returned to manufacturer or disposed of in an environmentally safe place.
With the above in mind, we welcome any suggestions that may imporove our environmental policy.
